Rights, good practice and workplace issues

ACAS (for employees and employers)

Working Families

Advice and support for working parents and carers on their employment rights, Tax Credits and in-work benefits, maternity and paternity leave, flexible working options and maternity discrimination. Includes a section especially for parents of disabled children.

CIPD

While it is aimed at those working in HR, this has loads of factsheets, research, guidance and info in other formats such as podcasts and webinars.

Access to Work

Support to get or stay in work if you have a physical or mental health condition or disability.

They also have a free helpline 0800 028 1456

SCVO HR and employment support service (for organisations rather than individuals)

Provides HR and employment support to voluntary sector organisations in Scotland. The service includes a free 1-2-1 HR enquiry service, online guidance, toolkits and webinars. For SCVO members with an annual income of under £500,000 the service also includes access to 2 hours of pro bono employment law advice.

Wellbeing Action Plan templates

Wellness Actions Plans are an easy, practical way of helping you to support your own mental health at work. Mind’s guidance and template includes how to use one, how to approach a conversation with your manager, and tips for staying well at work.
